Origin
A teacher discovers her true calling
While teaching school, Anand Mayee began walking Bhagalpur's textile lanes — meeting weavers, traders, dyeing units, and customers. A deep curiosity about craft, commerce, and community slowly became a mission.
First steps
Starting from zero, learning everything
No investors, no financial backing. Through commission-based trading, Anand connected buyers with authentic products while mastering GST, logistics, trademarks, and customer relationships — not in a classroom, but in the field.
Resilience
Held together by values, not circumstance
Frauds. Financial loss. Operational setbacks. And personal grief — losing both her father and grandfather shortly after registering the company. The values her grandfather left behind became the strength that kept the journey moving.
Milestone
First store opens in Bhikhanpur
A physical home for Nayab Stores. Sarees, tailoring, accessories, and handcrafted products — the brand was planting roots. An all-women leadership team took shape, creating employment for women across skill sets.
Present
A platform, not just a store
From surviving COVID-19 to building Nayab Academy, the brand now combines traditional craftsmanship with modern systems — serving customers offline and online. The dream that started with one woman continues to grow into something much larger.
